Hello world, and welcome to my corner!

This is Rosa Wang, a Psychology undergraduate, and the founder of TellanEar. I created this webside as I believe that psychology is not just for academics and experts, it is for everyone. It’s about understanding ourselves, each other, and the world around us better. Each person has a unique story, and it would be a previlage to have the chance of listening, supporting as much as possible.

My journey into psychology started at highschool as I was fond of psychology related books, but what determined it to be my career path was when I learned that a close relative of mine was diagnosed with severe depression. Through her experiences, I realized how stigmatized mental illness is by social stereotypes. In many parts of the world and in many cultures, there is still a limited understanding of disorders. People labelled with disorders are often isolated, excluded, and ridiculed. They often have a strong stigma, they feel being sick is a disgrace that no one else should know. This stigma has blocked many people from seeking help.

Therefore, I wish that TellanEar can be a place where we can say no to stigma, know more about Psychology and share unique stories. This site isn’t just a blog; it’s also a space where you can share your own experiences. I truly believe that storytelling is a powerful tool for connection and healing, and that by sharing, we can help each other feel less lonely. So, whether you’re here to read, reflect, or write, I’m grateful you’re part of this community.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to learn a little about me! I can’t wait to learn and grow together.

                                                                            Best regards,                                                                                                     Wang
